This is a mandatory, two-day training for all approved applicants to the FLS Domestic Adoption Program.  The training is held on a Friday-Saturday and includes presentations from staff and guest speakers on topics such as adoption communication, attachment in adoption, interviewing with potential birth parents, transracial adoption, grief and loss, identity issues in adoption, preparing the adoption profile, talking to your child about adoption, etc.  In addition, the weekend features panel discussions of adult adoptees, adoptive parents, and birth mothers.  Space is limited and couples are invited in the order in which their applications are approved.
