Hello friend,

We are Jordan and Helene and want to first say THANK YOU for taking the time to get to know us a little bit! We want you to know a couple of things from the beginning: 1) we already love you and 2) are praying for you during this journey. We know considering multiple options is not easy and we support you and pray that you experience God's incredible peace on this journey.

You are unique and special and, as you may already know, God is working out an incredible plan for your life. We firmly believe that He takes all situations and turns them into good. As we have experienced, life can be so challenging, but we believe that He is so much bigger than our challenges and He desires us to seek Him amid our difficulties and not only will our focus change, but He will strengthen us and restore us (1 Peter 5:10). We have seen many times that He gives us beauty in place of our ashes, joy instead of sadness and if it is His will, we want to share with you some of that beauty and joy on this journey of life.

Now that our paths have crossed, even if just for a little bit, here is the big picture of who we are:

We love kids and have lots of them around us!  We have two vibrant, incredible and beautiful girls and have 17 nieces and nephews. Helene works with kids and Jordan could be argued as the most fun parent and uncle, so we are blessed to be surrounded by, learn from, and help children daily!

We are both believers in Jesus and have a passion for our family to be centered around Him. As we continue on this faith journey together, our prayer is from Ephesians 3:16-18 that God will grant us strength with the power through his Spirit so that Christ may dwell in our hearts and we will be rooted and grounded in love. Our prayer is also to comprehend the vastness of the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, and that we will be filled with the fullness of God. We say all of that…not in a religious or super spiritual way, but have come to realize that our relationships with Jesus are number one and He is the Rock we stand on in this crazy and challenging journey that is called life!

About Us:

Throughout our marriage, we have been able to experience many opportunities to learn and grow together no matter how difficult, and we are thankful for each of those experiences. Adoption has been a part of our individual lives, long before we met each other and got married.After we started dating, adoption was a conversation that occurred naturally when discussion started around dreams for a future family. We first expanded our home to caring for children in 2018, when Helene's younger sister, Amber, was hospitalized for months after a massive brain bleed. We cared for Amber's newborn daughter, as well as her one year old and three year old sons for months and continued to be a major part of our niece and nephews' lives as Amber had extensive recovery and intensive therapy and needed almost constant support with daily childcare for quite some time.We then became foster parents in 2019 and cared for multiple beautiful children over the course of 3 years. We became permanent guardians for one of our foster children, Miracle Jane, whom we have cared for and raised since she was only three weeks old. She is such a joy and we love spending time with multiple members of her wonderful birth family on a monthly basis. In August 2023, we welcomed home Royal Juniper Rose, or "Juni" through Family Life Services' infant adoption. Juni is full of energy, adventure, and laughter! Raising Juni and Miracle have been so much fun and such a gift. Life is full and beautiful. In summer and early fall 2024, Helene and Jordan started feeling led individually (and then talked together) that God was preparing our hearts to, once again, open our home again to adoption. We know God's timing is perfect and we trust that He is in the details with this situation, as he has been with each beautiful life we have experienced thus far. We can clearly see over the years how God has been preparing our hearts for adoption through these experiences mentioned above and are honored to be a part of His incredible story in this way.

About Jordan, by Helene:

He's HILARIOUS!! He is also smart, driven, and LOUD! Jordan is the type of person that can easily carry on a conversation - whether he is nervous, excited, or tired. Jordan is thoughtful and kind. He always has been and that is one of his many consistent and incredible traits. He is a gift-giver. He is patient and wise. He hates roller coasters and any heights but ironically prefers plane rides over car rides! He loves to learn anything and everything. He loves education and the medical field. If he could live at Disney World, he probably would but will accept traveling just about anywhere and experiencing new places as a great alternative (although we go to Disney about once a year)! He comes home from work each day and gets on the floor to play with the girls all evening after his already busy workdays. He rises early to spend time with me and do devotions/prayer time together. He sings, reads, and prays with me and the girls every night before bed. Jordan is an incredible dad, husband, uncle, and friend. He makes our world a better place and we love him so much!

About Helene, by Jordan:

She is the glue that holds our family together. I have never met a more hardworking, dedicated, caring and motivated person. Helene is a great mom and a great spouse. Many times, she knows what we need before we even know it ourselves. Helene is one of those people that when you meet her, you will like her and will likely be her lifelong friend. She has this ability to make everyone feel at home and is great at hospitality. Not only do we love her at home, but she is loved at her job too. If I could describe someone that is close to Superwoman (or Captain Marvel if you're a Marvel fan), she would be it. Helene really has a passion for helping people and being supportive to those around her. Helene is the person who always puts others before herself and is a one-of-a-kind friend, wife and mother. When Helene is doing things that she likes, usually she can be found outdoors and loves to hike and run. I am thankful for all the roles she plays and how special she is to us and to all those around her!

10 Quick Facts:

1. We dance in our kitchen almost daily after breakfast and dinner

2. We travel to Helene's Nana's (90+ yr old) house in NY for every Thanksgiving to spend time with extended family (about 50 people for Thanksgiving dinner!). It is Helene's favorite holiday and the warmth and love from her family makes it so special!

3. We love to travel! Jordan prefers beaches, Helene prefers the mountains, so we rotate vacation destinations on a regular basis

4. Going for walks as a family through our neighborhood is one of our favorite pastimes

5. We value hosting new and old friends and family around our dinner table on a weekly basis and find some of our deepest relationships have been established around the dinner table

6. We love spending time with some of Miracle's birth family and prioritizing these visits on a bi-weekly basis

7. We are willing and happy to discuss potential names for the child we adopt

8. We both love to do hair and have become very practiced in ethnic hair care and styles!

9. Jordan enjoys going to the movies, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, and swimming, while Helene enjoys reading, hiking, skiing, running, cooking, and sitting on the back porch with her coffee

10. We desire open and honest communication with you! We would love for you to be a part of our lives (and us being a part of yours) and are happy to include you in the big and little moments of life
