FLS Adoption Training Weekend
Lynchburg, VA
The FLS Adoption Training Weekend is mandatory for all approved applicants to the FLS Domestic Infant Adoption Program. Couples must submit a pre-application and a full application for approval prior to receiving an invitation to this in-person training session. This two-day workshop includes presentations from staff and various speakers on adoption topics such as medical considerations in adoption, transracial adoption, openness and building healthy adoption relationships, creating the adoption profile, etc. In addition, attendees will hear panel discussions with adoptees, adoptive parents, and birth parents. The cost is $500/couple. Space is limited to 8 couples and, when this training is full, approved applicants will be given a spot for the March 2026 Training Weekend.

FLS Annual Birth Mother Gathering
Lynchburg, VA
Join us for the Annual Birth Mother Gathering in Lynchburg, Virginia. This all-day event is open to all birth mothers who placed an infant through an agency adoption or parental placement adoption (even if you did not use FLS). There is no cost to attend but registration by October 31st is required. Enjoy a day of great food, fun activities, and a time to connect with peers who share similar experience with adoption in a beautiful, relaxing venue..
