Michael & Kara

The words “thank you” seem much too simple to express the depth of our gratitude to you. In bringing forth this child, you have not only given them the gift of life, but you have allowed the world to be blessed by the presence of this wonderful being. We hope over the next few pages you will get to know us and our family, our story, our hopes, and our dreams. We know that you too have a story, hopes, and dreams and we would love to know you and share those wonderful things someday with the child you so deeply love.

We want you to know that you will always have a special place in our hearts. As your child gets older, we will tell them about you and the events that brought them into our lives. We can only imagine that because you care so deeply for this baby, that you are willing to choose to place your little one into the arms of waiting parents. We feel that you made this decision from a place of love, compassion, kindness, and understanding. We hope that we are the kind of parents you always dreamed for your baby.

About Us:

We are a young, loving, couple that have begun a journey looking for a little one to fill our hearts and home with love. We have been blessed beyond measure, in our own lives, and we know that God has a plan to extend that love through a child. Michael is a family counselor and a world language coordinator for a non-profit international organization. Kara is a full- time teacher that works with children who are learning English as their second language in an elementary school for Kindergarten through 5th grade. We have a deep love for helping others and seeing people reach their fullest potential in life. We have had many opportunities to see that happen through our jobs, events in our community, and our church. We would love to see our child grow up with our passion; guiding them through life, to find their fullest potential!

Our Love Story:

Our story begins with faith. We were two people raised on the West Coast of the U.S. praying and hoping God would send us an amazing help-mate in life. Only God knew we would meet in graduate school all the way on the east coast.  We had an instant connection; a shared love of God, strong family beliefs, and a purpose driven life! We knew each other, as friends, for six years before our friendship blossomed into LOVE! We dated for less than a year, became engaged, and had our wedding in 2010 on a beautiful fall day!

Our Adoption Story:

Our story begins with a dream and a deep desire to see our love grow and extend through our children. God knows that our hearts are full and waiting for the little hands that will fit perfectly in ours! We have learned over the last seven years that God sometimes grows families in different ways; through the heart and through love. This has been a journey of faith! A willingness to stand with what we believe regardless of the circumstances. We know that God has spoken and it is now time to see His true design for our family. Our family, which is full of grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends are waiting for this child to be embraced by them and become a part of our lives. We look forward to birthdays, holidays, and the special milestones of life.
